Inspired by the beautiful colours, textures and compositions of the Portuguese coastline, Flora’s paintings are fresh as the ocean and warm as the sunbaked cliffs.
Flora brings her background in textile and surface design seamlessly into her fine art paintings. Working freestyle without sketching, she builds layers of intense colour, places areas of intricate pattern against smooth opaque, fluid forms against clean blocks of colour. Both simple and detailed, vibrant and subtle, every piece is an expression of the movement and harmony of the natural landscape.
